Submit a New Request for Each Stock Gift

To help keep everything running smoothly and avoid delays, you (or your Financial Advisor) must submit a new stock gift request for every donation, even if you've donated stock to the same organization before. ⚡️

  • 📦 Think of it like mailing a package: Each time you send one, you need a new shipping label, even if it’s going to the same place.
  • ✅ Similarly, each stock donation needs its own entry, so it can be properly tracked and delivered.

Why This Matters

This step ensures your gift is matched to the correct recipient, credited to you as the donor, and applied to your preferred designation. Without it, your nonprofit will be unable to attribute your donation or issue an acknowledgment letter. 🚫

Submitting a New Request Helps:

  • 📇 Accurately link your gift to your name and contact details
  • 🗂️ Ensure your nonprofit receives and processes your gift without delay
  • 🧾 Confirm you receive an acknowledgment letter for your records

My Shares Were Already Transferred—Now What?

I (or my Financial Advisor) already sent my shares without submitting a stock gift request online. What should I do?

No worries! If a stock gift request wasn’t submitted on your nonprofit’s donation page before your shares were transferred, your donation won’t automatically appear on our platform or on your Donor Profile.
